DPRK Player Sets New World Record in 2019 IWF World Weightlifting Championships

| Pyongyang, September 22 (KCNA) -- DPRK player Choe Hyo Sim won a gold medal at the women's 59kg snatch in the 2019 World Weightlifting Championship of the International Weightlifting Federation on Sept. 21. In snatch she made good lifts of 100 kg, 104kg and 107kg in succession to set a new world record. She took the second place respectively in clean and jerk and total. Meanwhile, O Kang Chol won silver medals in the men's 73kg clean and jerk and total. |
