According to an official concerned, its purpose is to increase the variety of goods and considerably improve their quality by strengthening the competitiveness among the relevant units.

Taking part in the exhibition are not only the industrial establishments engaged in supply of goods to the Pyongyang Children's Department Store but also other establishments which hoped to attend.

What draw the attention of visitors are new shapes of children's clothes and footwear presented by garment factories under the Pyongyang Municipal Garment Industry Management Bureau and Unha and Ponghwa trading bureaus and Wonsan and Pyongyang leather shoes factories and the Ryuwon Footwear Factory.

Baby milk powder and confectionery, presented by the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory, the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory, the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory and other foodstuff factories, are also popular among the visitors.

And there are products helpful to the intellectual development of children.
