More than 1.2 million saplings including wild fruit-bearing saplings were secured all over the country.

In this regard, Ryom Song Hwan, an official of the General Bureau of Forest under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, told KCNA:

Unlike the past, many wild fruit-bearing saplings will be planted in autumn this year.

We are planning to plant various species of wild fruit-bearing saplings in all the mountains suited to geographical features and business purpose.

In order to carry out the task for the second-stage forest restoration campaign, everybody in the DPRK is striving to turn forests into useful ones by planting many wild fruit-bearing trees under the slogan "Let's turn all the mountains into golden mountains!"
