Attending the meeting were Chairman Ho Jong Man and Vice-Chairman Nam Sung U of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Ri Song Chol, director of its Economic Department, Ri Yon Nam, chairman of Chongsanghoe, and its members.

Ho Jong Man in his speech called upon Chongsanghoe to become the vanguard of overall development of the movement of the Koreans in Japan by raising the building of the organization and its patriotic activities onto a new stage.

A report reviewed work in the past.

The reporter referred to activities for supporting the national education, the support to the economic life and the implementation of three patriotic tasks and other successes and experience in the period of 22nd-term Chongsanghoe and to the fact that the organization developed into a patriotic citadel by vigorously organizing the campaigns in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experiences with them.

The reporter also appealed to all the organizations under Chongsanghoe to bear in mind the sense of their holy obligation of the era and struggle with redoubled efforts for the wealth of the community of the compatriots and the rosy future of children.

Then speeches were delivered.

Paek Kyu Yong was elected chairman of Chongsanghoe at the general meeting.
