At the 2019 National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Achievements in the Field of Robot held in Pyongyang recently, introduced were robots developed by various units of the country as well as achievements made in their designing and manufacturing.

What caught visitors' eyes were robots based on artificial intelligence technology.

An omni-directive robot football-playing system, presented by Kim Il Sung University, shows the advanced technology of manufacturing intelligent robot. With this system, the university won in the 2019 Robot Football Tournament of University Students.

Kim Chaek University of Technology presented a system for intellectual competition by two robots, a spider-like moveable robot with six legs and a robot tele-controlled by smart phone. Those robots will be used in doing dangerous works instead of human being, said Kim Tae Myong, department head of the university.

During the exhibition, there were technology exchanges for putting production processes on a robot basis with the help of sci-tech achievements.

Drawing the attention of many production units were also such robots as six degrees-of-freedom articulated robot for industrial use and delta-type parallel robot.
