Project for Updating Power Grid Makes Headway in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- A project for modernizing the transmission-distribution network is making headway in the DPRK.

According to data available, the project exceeded 60 percent.

The North Hamgyong Provincial Power Distribution Station has pushed ahead with the work for remodeling the distribution circuit in liaison with relevant units.

Several county power distribution stations in North Phyongan Province completed the remodeling of pole transformers and main transformers in general.

The same is true of Pyongyang City, Jagang Provincial and Kangwon Provincial power distribution stations.

Up to now from the beginning of this year, more than 13 000 pole transformers and main transformers and nearly 10,000 kilometer-long distribution circuits have been remodeled across the country.
