Greetings to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un from Lao Party Leader
Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), received a message of greeting from Bounnang Vorachith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), on October 2.

The general secretary in the message extended the warmest congratulations to Kim Jong Un and all the officials of the Central Committee of the WPK, all the Party members and the fraternal Korean people on behalf of the LPRP Central Committee, all the party members and people of Laos and on his own behalf on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the WPK.

The message said:

We are pleased over the fact that the fraternal Korean people have achieved great successes for the past 74 years in preserving the political stability of the country, strengthening national defence and security, working for modernization, steadily developing the economy and providing affluent and happy life under the wise and courageous guidance of the WPK headed by Comrade Kim Il Sung, Comrade Kim Jong Il, the great leaders, and Comrade Kim Jong Un, successor to the revolutionary cause.

We express firm conviction that under the guidance of the WPK the fraternal Korean people will continue to register successes in the struggle to defend the country, accomplish the cause of building a powerful socialist country, realise the peaceful reunification of the country and implement the decision of the Seventh Party Congress.

The message wished Kim Jong Un good health and happiness and big successes in accomplishing his noble cause.

It sincerely hoped for the steady development of the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation of the two parties, two states and two peoples of the LPDR and the DPRK.
