The Syrian president in the message said that he was pleased to send the heartfelt and warmest congratulations to

Kim Jong Un and to the friendly people of the DPRK on the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The great exploits performed by the WPK clearly remain in the path of development of the DPRK, the message said.

It expressed the conviction that the WPK would continue to play an important role in strengthening the country into a dignified and invincible power under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, it added.

It hoped that the two countries would make joint efforts for the development of bilateral ties in all fields so as to contribute to defending the interests of the friendly peoples of Syria and the DPRK and foiling the ambition of outside forces for invasion.
