In this regard, Kim Myong Suk, vice-chairwoman of the C.C., Socialist Women's Union of Korea, told KCNA:

The wives of servicemen have devoted their all to the country, valuing the state affairs more than household affairs.

They are genuine women revolutionaries greatly contributing to the national defence. They have undertaken all the household matters and brought up their children strongly so that their husbands could concentrate their whole mind upon military affairs.

All the people should follow the genuine patriotic spirit of servicemen's wives devoting their all to the prosperity of the country, Mun Chang Song, a teacher of Pyongyang University of Medicine, said, adding:

The servicemen's wives have striven to contribute to the improvement of soldiers' living conditions while conducting a do-good-thing movement at socialist construction sites, whether they are known or unknown and rewarded or unrewarded.

Han Myong Hui, a worker of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, said:

The servicemen's wives set a good example of mass-based culture and art activities. Their art performances representing the spirit of the times are enthusiastically acclaimed by the audience.

Following their stamina and passion, we are now conducting brisk mass-based culture and art activities.
