Korean Draftees Treated as Animals: Japanese

| Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- A Japanese disclosed the wretched life of Korean draftees who were subjected to forcible labor in Japan during the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea, according to Yonhap News of south Korea. When interviewed by Tokyo Shimbun, he said that Korean draftees were emaciated by unbalanced nutrition. He also noted that he had often seen Japanese beating Korean draftees and they had lived in a pigpen. They were treated like animals, he said, adding that they did dangerous work. |
