Present there were officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and relevant units, members of missions of international organizations here including the acting UN resident coordinator and concurrently representative of the WFP, the vice-representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, diplomatic envoys of various countries and staff members of foreign embassies here.

Speakers at the event referred to the efforts of many countries for agricultural development to settle the food crisis caused by the complicated political situation, natural disasters, population growth, etc.

They said that the event would become a significant occasion discussing achievements gained in the agricultural field in the past period and the future prospect.

There were also speeches on the influence of climate change over food production in the DPRK and the ways for dealing with it.
