Following are results of the championships on Monday:

In the girls' 40kg, 45kg, and boys' 49kg categories, DPRK Pak Yong, Paek Hye Jong, Pak Myong Jin, along with Vietnamese Tung Do Tu in the boys' 55kg category, each placed first in jerk and snatch and came first in total.

In the men's 55kg category, DPRK Pak Chung Guk placed first in snatch and second in jerk, and in the women's 45kg category, Vietnamese Thi Pham Dinh placed second in snatch and first in jerk totaling to first place.

DPRK Pak Yu Jong, Pak Kang Song and Mun Ik Su in the girls' 45kg category and boys' 49kg and 55kg categories respectively, along with Pang Un Chol in the men's 55kg category, placed second in total standings.
