DPRK Weightlifters Prove Successful in Youth and Junior Championships

| Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- DPRK players achieved continuous successes in the 2019 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships. On Tuesday, Kim Chung Guk took the first place in snatch and jerk and total standings in the men's 61kg category and set a new world and Asian record by lifting 159kg in jerk. Won Hyon Sim and Ri Ryong Hyon also took first place in snatch, jerk and total standings in the girls' 49kg category and men's 67kg category respectively, and Han Jong Sim won gold medals in jerk and in total standings in the women's 49kg category. |
