DPRK Players Set New Records

| Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- DPRK players set new records and bagged 12 gold medals in the 2019 Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships on Wednesday. In women's junior and senior 59kg category Kim Il Gyong lifted 99kg to set a new World and Asian Junior record. She set new World and Asian Youth and Junior records in jerk and total to claim 6 gold medals. In women's junior 55kg category Pak Jin Hae lifted 87kg in snatch and 110kg in jerk. She lifted a total of 197kg to set new World and Asian Junior records. In women's 55kg jerk Kim Ji Hyang renewed World and Asian Youth records and set a new Asian Youth record in total. She won 3 gold medals. The championships go on. |
