The Sinuiju Cosmetics Factory introduced a parallel robot, developed by Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, into the packing process of products.

The Education Books Printing Plant introduced an overhead crane-style cartesian robot, made by the Control Machine Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, into the bookbinding process.

Besides the Pyongyang Children's Foodstuff Factory and many other units have introduced robots into their production processes, Jo Ryong Ho, an official of the State Commission of Science and Technology, said, noting that the theme of the 2019 National Exhibition of Sci-Tech Achievements in the Field of Robot was "Robotization of production processes".
