Some days ago, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un went round its construction site and stressed the need to actively introduce advanced technique and method of vegetable culture to raise the output and activate production so that the inhabitants in North Hamgyong Province can benefit greatly from the farm.

As the province is located in highland and faces on the sea, it is unfavorable to vegetable culture.

One day of June scores of years ago when he was giving field guidance to the province, President Kim Il Sung came to see a flower coming out fifteen days later than Pyongyang area. Being concerned about autumn vegetable production in Chongjin City frequently visited by frost earlier, he convened a consultative meeting of agricultural officials in the province and the city.

At the meeting he said that it is very important to supply the citizens with vegetables all the year round as the city has many key factories and enterprises. Underscoring the need to sharply increase the vegetable production per hectare by further raising the utilization of vegetable field and putting the vegetable farming on a scientific and technological basis, he indicated the ways for realizing the two-and triple-cropping of vegetable in the city.

The paternal love of the President for the inhabitants in the province has been carried forward by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Last year, the Supreme Leader visited the province twice in one month to choose a site for the vegetable greenhouse farm and guide its construction.

After all, a large-scale modern vegetable greenhouse farm came to take its shape, in the place where there was a military base, under his wise guidance.
