The contest brought together cooks of more than 40 units including the Guidance Bureau of Public Catering Service and service sector of ministries and national institutions and public catering establishments of Pyongyang City and all the provinces. The contest was held, divided into a food exhibition, cooking technical contest and demonstration cooking.

Over 400 loach dishes were submitted to the contest, drawing the attention of the visitors.

The participants in the contest prepared loach soup and other various loach dishes in a fixed time in the traditional ways and with refined skills.

The demonstration cooking by cooks of Changgwang Public Service Management Bureau, Phyongchon District General Restaurant, Sosong District General Restaurant, etc. made the contest more attractive.
