Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Organizations of south Korea such as the People's Joint Action, the People's Action for Peace against War and the Citizens Solidarity for Democratic Society held a press briefing in front of the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Oct. 29 and denounced the police authorities for unreasonable crackdown, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo. The speakers said the police are suppressing the public struggle against the increase of upkeep for the U.S. troops. They added that the police orchestrated an abnormal case of detaining the people who protested against America's brigandish demand for increased upkeep for its troops in south Korea. They criticized the police authorities for not protecting the people but siding with the U.S. In a press release, they urged the police authorities to make an official apology for the case and take steps to prevent its recurrence. |
