Drive for Localization of Raw Materials Brisk in Shoe-Making Industry

| Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- The Shoe-making industrial sector of the DPRK has directed big efforts to realizing the domestic production of raw and other materials. Taking the lead in this work are the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory, the Pyongyang Tannery and the Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory. The Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory made heel and glaze with locally available raw materials and developed a solvent for adhesive. The Pyongyang Tannery introduced fish oil into leather beater to further increase the tanning effect and made a degreasing agent with industrial waste. The Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory, too, developed nonwoven artificial leather and pattern-printed artificial leather to produce quality shoes. |
