Taking part in it were winners in catch-weight events of the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games in celebration of the Day of the Sun, the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize and the DPRK Championships held this year.

Sin Song Thae of the Amnokgang Sports Team won the title of the contest beyond the expectations of experts and fans. He came third at the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize.

In the finals, Sin beat his rival Kim Ju Song of the same sports team, who is a national championship holder and 20kg heavier than him, with body-twist throw and counteroffensive techniques.
