S. Korean Lawmakers Denounce U.S. Pressure

Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- Lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties of south Korea held a press conference on November 15 to release a joint statement protesting the U.S. pressure, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo

The statement said that the U.S. has gone beyond the tolerance limit in forcing south Korea to pay more for the upkeep of the U.S. forces in south Korea.

The U.S. forces present in south Korea are necessary for the U.S. to carry out its strategy for world hegemony, not for south Korea, it said.

It urged the "government" not to surrender to U.S. intimidation.
