S. Koreans Call for Preserving Peace of Korean Peninsula

Pyongyang, November 20 (KCNA) -- 492 organizations of south Korea including the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, the Headquarters for the Promotion of Buddhist Jogye Order Korean Community and the Confederation of Trade Unions, and south Korean citizens released a declaration on the situation in Seoul on Nov. 15, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

The declaration accused U.S. of persisting in the policy hostile toward the north and disturbing peace on the Korean peninsula.

It also blamed the present regime of south Korea for deteriorating the relations with the north by blindly following the U.S.

The regime has sidestepped the work for developing the inter-Korean relations, reading the face of the U.S., it charged.

It urged the regime not to commit deeds against peace such as joint military drills with the U.S. and purchase of cutting-edge weapons.
