Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, visited the township.

At the observation platform, they enjoyed a bird's-eye view of the hot spring sanatorium area which was perfected for the convenience of the people, and made rounds of the blocks for medical treatment, hotel, etc. that were built in a peculiar style.
