According to data available, the county produced 10 tons of reed per hectare on an average, 18 tons to the maximum, thus raising the reed output nearly twice as against last year.

It expanded the reed cultivation area and ensured the manuring and tending of reed on a sci-tech basis.

Meanwhile, the county rearranged waterway extending over 100 kilometers and introduced an irrigation system into thousands of hectares of reed fields.
