As it represents the ardent desire of the Korean people, the song has been very popular among not only visitors to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu but also all other citizens of different strata in the country.

As seen in its words, it is the fixed faith and will of the DPRK people to learn the fighting spirit displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and steadily carry forward the lifeline of the revolution.

Jong Yong Nam, a student of Kim Il Sung University, told KCNA:

Mt Paektu is a good school for ideological training and mental culture, which instills the revolutionary spirit and soul of the forerunners into the youth. The revolutionary march started in Paektu continues still now. I will cultivate the indomitable fighting spirit through repeated study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu.

Paek Chol Ryong, a worker of the Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory, said that he would stand in the van of the struggle to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, bearing in mind the spirit of Mt Paektu.
