Seen on the upper part of the stamp are letters "60th Anniversary of Realization of Repatriation of Koreans in Japan" and "Juche 48 (1959) - Juche 108 (2019)".

The stamp shows the figures of man and woman compatriots in Japan with the DPRK flag and bouquet in their hands and repatriation ship "Mangyongbong".

Thanks to the warm compatriotism and energetic leadership of President Kim Il Sung, repatriation of Koreans in Japan was realized and the first ship carrying Koreans in Japan arrived in the homeland on December 16, Juche 48 (1959).

The repatriation to the socialist homeland from capitalist Japan was a historic event that brought about a radical turn in hewing out the destiny of Korean residents in Japan.
