Schoolchildren' Folk Games on New Year

| Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren in the DPRK had folk plays in different parts of Pyongyang, the capital city, on the New Year. They enjoyed kite-flying, shuttlecock, rope-skipping, top-spinning and other folk games at plazas and parks of the city including the plazas of the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and the Arch of Triumph. The highlight of those games was kite-flying. Seen in kites were such letters as "New Year" and "2020". The happy looks of school boys and girls enjoying folk plays delighted passers-by and other citizens greeting the New Year. |
