Stipulated in the law are principled matters arising in maritime search and rescue system, notice of boat position and rescue communication, rescue control and rescue, and guidance and control over maritime search and rescue work.

The purpose of the law is to protect the lives and properties of people by establishing a strict system and order in maritime search and rescue work.
