Attending it were DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon and other officials of the ministry.

Ri Son Gwon said that the Korean people have turned out in the general offensive to break through head-on the barriers to the advance of socialist construction by dint of self-reliance, true to the tasks set forth at the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and made public the foreign policy stand of the DPRK government.

Palestinian Ambassador Ismail Ahmed Mohamed Hasan who is doyen of the corps expressed his thanks for the Lunar New Year's Day reception on behalf of the corps and wished the friendly Korean people greater success in their struggle for the state building and development.
