In his message he said he is pleased that the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries forged by the preceding great leaders of the Korean and Vietnamese people have been further strengthened and invariably developed in the struggle to achieve a common goal and ideal under the unfurled banner of socialism during the past 70 years.

Expressing belief that the good relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Vietnam which have entered a new stage of development under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries would grow stronger in all fields including politics, economy and culture, the message wished the prime minister success in his work for socio-economic development of the country.

Meanwhile, DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon sent a message of greeting to Pham Binh Minh, deputy prime minister and foreign minister of Vietnam, on the same day.
