School Youth and Children Start Expedition to Chairman Kim Jong Il's Birthplace

Samjiyon, February 2 (KCNA) -- On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il, school youth and children from across the country started an expedition to his birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

They had a meeting before his statue in Samjiyon City on Sunday.

They placed a floral basket and bunches of flowers at the statue before paying tribute to them.

At the meeting, a report was made to be followed by speeches. After the meeting, they left for the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site, singing revolutionary songs in chorus.
