The building, scheduled to be completed within this year, will be occupied by the Agrobiology Research Institute, the Plant Protective Institute, the Agricultural Nano Technology Institute and the Institute of Agricultural Chemicalization.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un stressed, at the December plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea held last year, that agricultural front is the major thrust area in the offensive for making a breakthrough head-on and the sci-tech forces and scientific research institutions in the agricultural sector should be built up.
