Expedition Group Visits Chairman Kim Jong Il's Birthplace in Paektusan Secret Camp
Samjiyon, February 18 (KCNA) -- Officials of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League from across the country participating in an expedition to the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu visited Chairman Kim Jong Il's birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp on Tuesday.

In the Sobaeksu Valley they laid a floral basket and made a bow before the mosaic of the peerlessly great persons.

Touring the Headquarters log cabin, they learnt about the fact that President Kim Il Sung transformed the valley into a strategic base of the Korean revolution in the latter half of the 1930s to bring a great upsurge in the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle.

Being briefed on the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il, they looked round the historical relics at his birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.

Earlier, they toured the Rimyongsu Revolutionary Site, Chongbong and Konchang bivouacs, and other battle sites of the anti-Japanese war.
