The Pyongyang Vegetable Science Institute under the Academy of Agricultural Science bred new species of greenhouse cucumber suited to the cultivation in spring and autumn.

The institute gave full play to the genetic character of the new species of cucumber and established its reasonable cultivation technology to settle the technical problems arising in increasing the yield according to greenhouse type and culture time.
