Restoration of Historical Sites Goes on in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- The restoration and repair work for various historical sites is going on in the DPRK.

According to Choe Chan Hyon, an official of the Bureau for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, the restoration and repair work for 40-odd old buildings across the country is now under way. They include Taehung Temple in Kaesong City, Pohyon Temple in Hyangsan County of North Phyongan Province, main halls of Ryonghung Temple in Yonggwang County of South Hamgyong Province, Kyongsong Nam Gate in Kyongsong County of North Hamgyong Province and Myongryun Hall at Koryo Songgyungwan University in Kaesong City.

This project is to be finished within this year.

Taehung, Pohyon and Ryonghung temples were built in 1359, 1042 and 1048 respectively and the Kyongsong Nam Gate in 1433 and Koryo Songgyungwan University in 992, showing the remarkable talents of the Korean nation.
