Enactment of Law to Punish Pro-Japanese Remarks Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 28 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean online newspaper Jaju Sibo, a candidate for the "National Assembly" from the People's Party waged one-man demonstration outside Yonsei University on Feb. 26 in demand of the enactment of a "law on punishment for pro-Japanese absurd remarks".

He denounced Ryu Sok Chun, a professor at Yonsei University, for evoking serious public criticism by describing victims of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army as "prostitutes" and spouting vulgar words against a student who made a protest against him in September last year.

Saying that the distortion of history and pro-Japanese absurd remarks are given continuity not only at Yonsei University but in all fields of society, he called for enacting a law for punishing them.

He vowed to fight for the disciplinary punishment on Ryu Sok Chun and enactment of the "law on punishment for pro-Japanese absurd remarks".
