The editorial points out that President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il put forward a great idea of covering the whole country with trees and flowers and put their heart and soul into the realization of the idea till the last moments of their lives, and goes on:

Tree planting is not a mere matter of routine, but the struggle for implementing the ideas of the Party and upholding its policies.

With a view to achieving the prosperity of the country associated with the patriotic souls of the great leaders and welfare of posterity, the Party termed the forest restoration campaign a war to improve nature and inspired the whole Party, the entire army and all the people to the campaign. Under the wise leadership of the Party, proud-worthy tree nurseries have been built across the country through an army-people coordinated operation, and great progress has been made in tree planting.

We should not be content with the already gained successes.

In order to creditably translate the great leaders' instructions and the Party's plan into a brilliant reality, everybody should dedicate themselves to tree planting with firmer resolution. No matter how heavy task we face and whatever trials and difficulties, tree-planting should not be called off even a moment.

Genuine patriot is the one who devotes himself to turning all the mountains of the country into gold ones, bearing patriotism in mind, not in a book.

The editorial calls for turning out as one in the forest restoration campaign, a noble patriotic work, and thus turning the country into the people's paradise.
