DPRK's Self-Sustenance Lauded by Ugandan Political Party

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- Hostile forces' moves to stifle the Democratic People's Republic of Korea reach the limit but endless is its self-sustenance, said Public Lens, the organ of the Uganda National Resistance Movement, in an article on the DPRK, which carves out its future with the spirit of national self-sustenance, posted on its homepage. The homepage carries a photo of the Tower of the Juche Idea with the background of the panorama of Pyongyang against a red sky and the article titled "Dependence and Self-sustenance". The article says: Why does the DPRK put stress on self-sustenance? From the geopolitical point of view, the DPRK is located in the area where powers' interests seriously clash. Therefore, to adhere to the principle of independence is a very important matter for it. Had the DPRK given up its deterrent, yielding to the daily-escalated moves of the imperialists to stifle it, it would have certainly met the same fate as Iraq's and Libya's. The imperialists have antagonized the DPRK that follows the road of independent development. However, the DPRK built an independent national economy, holding fast to self-reliance as the treasured sword, and has enabled the people to lead a dignified life though it is not gorgeous. No formidable enemy can dare to provoke such country. The 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea called for taking greater steps forward in the revolutionary advance under the uplifted banner of achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance. |
