Present there were Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and concurrently director general of the General Affairs Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kim Song Hun, director of the Department for Publicity and Culture, and managing directors, directors and members of the Korean Sportsmen's Federation in Japan.

Kim Jong Chi, director general of the Standing Council of the Korean Sportsmen's Federation in Japan, delivered a report.

The reporter referred to the achievements and lessons gained by the federation in running local sports associations and other associations, training young reserve players, making a tangible contribution to the motherland in its efforts to turn itself into a sports power, etc.

He vowed to pay special attention to the training of young reserve players and school sports activities in particular, so as to make a proactive contribution to defending and developing national education, the lifeline of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

The enlarged meeting discussed and decided on the measures to contribute to hastening a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan by achieving the unity of broad segments of Koreans through sports activities.

Mun Jang Hong, vice-chairman of the federation, was elected as chairman of the federation at the meeting.
