Kangwon Province built processes for producing synthetic grass and heat ray reflection glass and other building materials production bases.

North Hwanghae Province remodeled the cement production base in Sariwon City and established a process for producing bricks, while the Kyongam Building Materials Factory began to produce a new foam lagging.

South Hwanghae Province introduced a computer integrated manufacturing into the Sinwon Cement Factory and developed building parts based on shells.

North Hamgyong Province put the production at the Komusan Cement Factory and other building materials units on a normal basis. And it is pushing ahead with the work to produce various kinds of building fixtures in coating materials bases.

On the basis of establishing a colored roof tile production process at the paint factory, Kanggye City in Jagang Province has turned out thousands of colored roof tiles every day.

The building materials factory in South Hamgyong Province began to produce tiles by developing a heat-resistant roller important in the tile production process, while its building materials institute developed filling materials and functional paints.
