Indonesian Paper on Women's Happy Life in DPRK
Pyongyang, March 9 (KCNA) -- The Indonesian internet paper RMOL carried an article titled "Women of the DPRK" on March 3 on the occasion of the March 8 International Women's Day.

The paper said:

Women fall victims to exploitation, deprivation of rights, conflict and crimes in many countries of the world.

However, women enjoy a happy life as masters of the state and society in the DPRK.

The DPRK has guaranteed equal rights and political rights of women with the Law on Sex Equality issued in 1946.

Deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly include ordinary female workers and many women exercise their political rights, being represented in the Party and government organs and working people's organizations.

In the DPRK, the state guarantees women's equality with men in the rights to labor and rights to labor protection and social security.

Nurseries, kindergartens and service establishments have been built in residential areas and industrial establishments, and children are being brought up at the expense of the state and society, so that women can work comfortably.

Women also have the benefit of medical service under the superior public health system.

Mothers of triplets or quadruplets receive special benefits from the state and those of many children are treated preferentially and held in public esteem and are given the title of Labor Hero.

The article also introduced an impression made by a Brazilian woman in envy of women in the DPRK after visiting the Breast Tumour Institute of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital.
