Every year the county has planted high-yielding fruit trees on several hundred hectares of area, set up concrete props and established an irrigation system to significantly greet the 75th anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea. It also increased the fertility of orchard by applying tens of thousands of tons of organic fertilizer annually.

And it has produced hundreds of thousands of fruit saplings every year at the newly arranged tree nursery covering one hundred hectares as well as at tree nurseries of its fruit farms.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the county on several occasions and indicated the way for developing the fruit farming of the country.

The county, with natural and geographical conditions favorable for fruit farming, firm material and technical foundations and rich experiences and tradition, is turning into a leading modern and large-scale fruit producing center of the country under the plan of the WPK.
