Kalma Foodstuff Factory
Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- The Kalma Foodstuff Factory in the DPRK is now turning out tasty processed fishes favored by people.

In recent years, the factory has further improved the quality of processed goods by inventing such methods as dyeing with Honggok bacteria and enhancement of antisepsis effect with mustard.

This modern fish processing base could appear in the east coast of the country thanks to the warm love of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un for the people.

The Supreme Leader initiated the construction of the factory and selected its site, settling all the problems arising in the construction.

He visited the factory nearing completion in June Juche 103 (2014). Going round several production processes, he said that primary attention should be paid to ensuring the hygienic safety of products. And he stressed the need to turn out in a large quantity tasty and quality processed goods favored by the people.

He set forth the tasks and ways for supplying raw materials and managing the factory and underscored the need to establish the drainage and ventilation system well after evaluating the inclination of the processing room's floor and the capacity of ventilating device.

He visited the factory again in August that year and gave instructions related to the development of foodstuff that can represent the factory, improvement of packing and business strategy.

Under his detailed guidance, the Kalma Foodstuff Factory was built in Wonsan City, Kangwon Province, as the country's icon and standard fish processing base.
