Stop to Alliance with U.S. Urged

Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- A civic organization of south Korea held a press conference outside the U.S. military base in Ryongsan on March 14 in demand of the stop to the alliance with the U.S., according to the south Korean internet paper Jaju Sibo.

The organization in a press release referred to a surge in the frequency of overseas joint military maneuvers to substitute for military drills in south Korea suspended due to COVID-19 crisis.

Noting that all the humiliating south Korea-U.S. joint military drills should be stopped at once, the organization demanded the "south Korea-U.S. mutual defense treaty" be abrogated and the U.S. forces pulled out of south Korea.
