Pyongyang, March 20 (KCNA) -- More than 260 art works have been additionally preserved at the Korean Art Gallery in Pyongyang as national treasures since Juche 101 (2012). Those works were highly appraised at large-scale art shows and festivals. Among them are Korean painting showing the images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il "For Turning the Land of Liberated Country into Greenery", oil painting "The General and Paektu Youths" and Korean paintings "Laudable Daughters of Juche Korea" and "We Are the Happiest in the World". Noticeable is the fact that most of them were produced by artists in thirties and forties. 40-odd pieces of those new works including Korean paintings "Sacred Land of Paektu", "Pine, the National Tree of the DPRK" and "City of History", oil paintings "Patriotic Mind" and "Girl Mother", and a wood sculpture "Buzzing Sound of Masik Pass" are now exhibited at the gallery. |
