The state has taken steps to arouse the citizens' awareness of the procurement work and encourage the households across the country to collect various life waste articles and by-products like waste paper, waste rubber and vinyl pouch that can be used as industrial raw materials through recycling.

Meanwhile, the number of units using waste materials and by-products as raw materials is growing with each passing day.

According to an official concerned, many production units including paper and footwear factories in Jagang Province have used purchased waste articles for raw materials. Among them are a factory producing sleeper preservative with waste vinyl pouch, disposable lunch box and jute bag and a unit producing feed additive for domestic animals with different animal bones.

Belt made from waste rubber and shuttering board made from waste plastic are in great demand for their utilities.

Such work to make recycling an important motive power in the development of self-supporting economy is getting more brisk in the country.
