Apology for Practices of National Discrimination Urged in Japan
Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- The rector of Korean Junior Middle School in Saitama City, Japan under the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), the director of the kindergarten under it, their teaching staff, parents of students and children and Koreans in Japan on Mar. 18 urged the Saitama City authorities to make an apology for their practices of national discrimination and take a measure to prevent their recurrence.

They said that the exclusion of the kindergarten under Korean Junior Middle School from the supply of face masks is an intolerable and inhumane act of national discrimination ignorant of the safety of Korean children.

The city authorities' reckless remarks that there is the possibility of "inappropriate use" of face masks are the ones abusing human rights, which outrage the dignity of Koreans in Japan, they said.

They condemned the city authorities for making no apology for their wrongdoings, expressing their will to fight for the honest apology from the city authorities and for the eradication of discriminative practices against Korean children.
