She, born into a poor peasant family in Kimhwa County before the liberation of the country, could lead a worthwhile life after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country from the Japanese colonial rule.

She has long worked in the public catering sector and brought up her eight sons and daughters to be pillars of the country, determined to make a contribution to the prosperity of the country.

She likes red bean and potato dishes. She has still done works of her own choice for the economic life of the country, while weeding the kitchen garden and breeding domestic animals.
