The statement said that Kim Jong Un met and had talks with President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin at Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in the city of Vladivostok on April 25, 2019.

It pointed out that this was a historical event of weighty importance for a new golden age of development of Russia-DPRK relations as well as durable peace and security of the Korean Peninsula.

Saying that the friendly relations between Russia and the DPRK have a long tradition, the statement continued as follows:

We are convinced that Russia and the DPRK will make every possible effort to realise the precious agreements made at the summit talks.

We will work hard for the development of the friendly and cooperative relations between Russia and the DPRK.

We sincerely wish the Korean people greater success in the struggle for implementing the decision of the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
