At the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, he learned in detail about the project of installing oxygen separator and the construction of floating preheating-style oxygen heat blast furnace, before discussing problems and taking measures.

At the Musan Mining Complex, the Chongjin Steel Plant and the Puryong Ferroalloy Factory, he referred to measures for increasing the output of Juche iron and ferro-alloy by ensuring the provision of raw materials including iron ores and concentrated iron ores.

Making rounds of the construction site of Orangchon Power Station No. 3, he encouraged the builders performing new miracles and feats in the construction of the power station in the same spirit as they displayed to wonderfully build Phalhyang Dam.

Acquainting himself with the production at the Myonggan Chemical Factory, the Chongjin Thermal Power Plant, the Kyongsong Insulator Factory, the Kyongsong Ceramic Factory and the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm, he stressed the need to open the shortcut to boosting the production with the might of self-reliance and science and technology.

The field consultative meetings took measures for officials to ensure the scientific and profitable management and operation of enterprises to suit to the specific conditions of their own units so as to raise the existing production capacity to the maximum. The meetings also called for relevant units to ensure the timely provision of necessary equipment and materials.
